cupping

Cupping Therapy

The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and fibromyalgia. You may also experience sweating or nausea. After treatment, the skin around the rim of the cup may become irritated and bruised in a circular pattern.

Hot Stone

Hot Stone

During a hot stone massage, the techniques of a regular massage are applied and your therapist will hold a smooth basalt hot stone in their hands and use them to massage with. This allows the therapist to get deeper into the muscles without more pressure, while helping their client to relax yet further.   Hot stone massage is usually performed on the back of the body.

NEUROMUSCULAR MASSAGE

Trigger Point

Trigger point therapy

A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. Trigger point massage therapy is designed to alleviate the source of the pain through isolated pressure. In this type of therapy,  the recipient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.  The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. You can experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.
This service is used in all therapies.

Myofascial

Myo-facial Release

Fascia is a specialized system of the body that has an appearance similar to a spider's web or a sweater. Fascia is very densely woven, covering and interpenetrating every muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein, as well as, all of our internal organs including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord. The most interesting aspect of the fascial system is that it is not just a system of separate coverings. It is actually one continuous structure that exists from head to toe without interruption.   Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests.  A high percentage of people suffering with pain and/or lack of motion may be having fascial problems, but are not diagnosed.

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.    This is combined with Trigger point therapy to treat skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles."
This service is used in all therapies.
